Physiognomization: reports

The first chunk of reports from Dr. Minskoff:

Location 01: Objectively a segment of concrete floor in which arcs are discernible from the initial pouring and smoothing. Subject Eleanor G. described "A sea captain, looking over his shoulder at me. He is angry." Two subjects found nothing in the area, but Christian identified "a funny little man in a hat," and giggled at the figure. Both of these episodes were cataloged photographically with subject's help.

Location 1

Location 02: Objectively a rear section of dry-wall, spattered with white paint. Subject Dylan L. reported clearly the "face of a devil," without in any way seeming emotionally affected by the sight. Helen B. initially reported recognizing the "gently smiling face" of an older man, but was angry and confused when asked later to mark the photograph, demanding to know "What's happened to [his] face? What have you done with his face?" She presented an aggressive, confused demeanor and the session was ended. However, she asked about the project the following week, showing no agitation, and easily delineated the outer limits of the face she had seen.

Location 2

Location 03: Objectively a smooth dry-wall surface which interested only one participant. Roger M. delineated the face "of that movie starlet, . . . with the violet eyes, from way back." Initially quite insistent, he no longer recognized this figure in the photographs.

Location 04: Objectively a cracked section of concrete floor, featuring scrapes, paint, etc. Three subjects, Roger M., Helen B., and Christian all responded with distaste to this location, without specifying any faces. Martin G. was the subject who located this site, and he described the male face located as "immoral, vapid, [and] cruel," but could not describe it in terms of age or other specific traits.

Location 05: Objectively a section of pocked concrete slab, subject Marta R. found overlapping faces here. One of these also was indicated, closely if not exactly, by Dylan L.: A bearded male face, with eyes that Marta described as "smoky" and a general air of mystery. Dylan described the visage as "dark" and "quiet." The other figure suggested by Marta R. was "an older woman, like a thin grandma woman, smiling," but she no longer recognized this figure in the photographs.

Location 06: Objectively a feature in rough plaster. Described by subject Helen B., this to be the face of "an angry, silly, stupid man." She indicated the small eyes, the disproportionate chin, and "that awful looseness of the skin." The surface was photographed and the subject traced the discovered face over several copies consistently. Subject Roger M., however, described the face of a "lovely woman"in this feature, but was unable to rediscover it in photos.
